04/08/2002: "Last Day"

Today was Indy’s last day as a stallion. The vet will be at Ron and Brenda’s place tomorrow morning to do the deed. He will also get his shots, Coggin’s test, and all the other things necessary for him to cross the state line from Michigan to Indiana next month. Worry wart that I am, I won’t be happy until I hear from Brenda tomorrow afternoon that all went well and Mr. Indy is okay.

Well, I won’t be okay! What about ME?!

Ami… Ami, I TOLD you, there is NO way I can have a stallion here. Besides

Besides, I can’t have you getting, uh, getting… Ami, just take my word for it that I’m doing the best thing for you, okay?

Don’t you think I’d make a good mother?

Oh, for heaven’s sake, Ami! It’s not about THAT! Hon, believe me, I KNOW you’d be a wonderful mom. It’s just that there’s more to it than that. Just trust me, baby.

Sigh… I’ll be SO glad when it’s done and she can GET OVER IT!
